Back to blog

We are informing you about a temporary pause in teaching due to the State of National Emergency declared by Government of the Czech Republic.

More information below!

Hi from Draw Planet!

VERY SHORT SUMMARY

On 12th of March Czech Government has declared a State of National Emergency. Due to this we have decided to temporarily make a pause in teaching. We will be taking a small break and all courses and lessons will be postponed. Don‘t worry, you won’t miss anything, it is just a small break in teaching for a short amount of time.

Courses that are already running will have a small break and once we start be teaching – all courses will continue as usual. It will only be a pause, you won’t miss anything.

Courses that have been announced and students have registered for, but have not yet started – will have a new starting date. As soon as we know the new starting dates – we will let you know. Don’t cancel your application, just wait for the new date.

As soon as we know when we can start teaching and have the new dates of courses – we will immediately inform you by messages, emails, Facebook, Instagram. We think it will be soon 🙂

SINCE WHEN?

On 12th of March Czech Government has declared a State of National Emergency. Due to this we have decided to temporarily make a pause in teaching. All courses for adults and children will have a small pause.

UNTIL WHEN?

We believe that we will resume teaching as soon as possible. The State of Emergency, announced by Government of the Czech Republic has been declared for 30 days, that means until around middle of April. It can be a bit shorter or it can be a bit longer. All depends on the development of the situation. We are confident that during April and May we will resume all courses in full and will be teaching in our normal mode.

This is our current assumption, so if anything changes – we will let you know. We will definitely start teaching as soon as possible.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING IN THE COURSE?

Your course will be temporarily paused and the continuation of the course will be postponed for a few weeks. No worries, all lectures will be just postponed, you won’t miss anything. Your remaining lessons will only shift and after the break will continue normally. As soon as we know when we will start teaching, we will let you know!

If you miss anything, we will find a solution and together we will solve it.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SIGN UP FOR THE COURSE?

Of course you can sign up for courses on our website. We continue to accept your applications as usual.

It is important to choose the course, which you are interested in, the day of the week and the start time that suits you best. Please ignore the exact start dates on the site, because they will be updated. We will process your application and we will let you know as soon as possible the exact dates of the start of the course.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR PEOPLE, WHO HAVE SIGNED UP FOR COURSES, WHICH WILL BE STARTING?

In a space of a few weeks we will know new course start dates and we will inform you of them.

So we ask you to wait a bit and don’t cancel your sign-up for the course. Please wait while we inform you about a new start term.

The day and time of the course will remain the same, only the starting date will change. It will start a few weeks later. Please wait for a bit and we will send all the information. Thank you.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THOSE WHO HAD REPLACEMENT CLASSES AGREED?

Due to the temporary pause because of the State of National Emergency we do not know when we will start teaching exactly. This means all of the confirmed terms of replacement lessons will be postponed.

So if you had a confirmed date of a replacement lesson, this date does not longer apply. When we will start teaching again, please let us know that you need to replace lesson and we will find a suitable term. You will not lose any lessons, just write us and email when we start teaching again.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THOSE WHO WON’T BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH LESSONS RIGHT AFTER THE BREAK?

We can postpone your classes, replace your lessons, move to a different course, issue you a voucher – there are many options. Together, we will find suitable solution, don’t worry 🙂

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED TO URGENTLY PICK UP A PAINTING OR IF I NEED TO ASK SOMETHING ETC.?

Please write us an email to [email protected] or give us a call +420 605 178 049. If you want to take your painting home, please add a photography of your painting to the email. It will really help us to find it. 🙂 Then we will write you when you can pick it up at the studios.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I WANT TO READ OR LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT DRAWING, PAINTING AND DESIGN DURING THE PAUSE?

Good question! You don‘t have to go idle during the pause. 🙂

The easiest way is to follow us on Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to our newsletter. We will share interesting news, write articles, recommend movies and also we will try to organize some interesting streams.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET STUCK WITH YOUR PAINTING OR PHOTOSHOP AT HOME? CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?

If you need help with your creations, please take a picture of your work or record short video and send it to us with some description of your issue. We will discuss it with our lecturers and send you an answer with suggestions what to do 🙂

WHAT WILL THE DRAW PLANET TEAM DO DURING THE PAUSE?

We will be answering your emails, phone calls, preparing new courses, creating interesting content and getting ready a bunch of new really cool things for you. And we will also paint our studio hall walls 🙂

As during holiday, we will try to do things that we normally don’t have time for during the working days. Then we will get back to our great students, to drawing and painting and to the wonderful vibe at Draw Planet.

Do you want to tell us something? Write us anytime on [email protected]

Together we will solve everything 🙂
